Conexus Indiana's Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics (AML) Curriculum Development Program seeks to address the changing AML workforce landscape by creating a high school - level curriculum for what are termed "middle skill workers." The program, rolled out in coordination with the Indiana Department of Education, will enable current students to complete industry-recognized certifications while preparing for post-secondary programs and careers in AML.
Conexus' mission will be realized through the creation and roll-out of a two-year turn-key AML program delivered through Indiana high schools and career centers and available for integration into adult basic education programs. The program will facilitate student achievement by including contextualized math and science concepts to reinforce key academic STEM concepts while promoting the development of the applied problem-solving skills demanded by AML industry members.
To maintain curriculum consistency, accountability, and high standards across Hoosier schools, Conexus will provide all course materials and training, including project-based activities, formative assessments, and educator instruction.
Conexus expects to pilot the first year of the two-year curriculum in the fall of 2012, with full implementation in the fall of 2013.
