Scott Glaze is the Chairman and CEO of Fort Wayne Metals Research Products Corporation. Fort Wayne Metals is a locally owned technology based manufacturing company. It is the market leader in the medical precision wire industry, producing wire for medical devices such as implantable pacing leads, cardiovascular catheters and orthopedic implants.
Scott became president of Fort Wayne Metals in 1985. The company has since grown from one facility employing 30 people to six facilities with over 500 employees in Indiana and in Ireland. Fort Wayne Metals has become the world leader in its field.
Scott has been a member of the medical device committees of ASTM and ISO and has written national and international standards for medical materials. He is involved in many state, regional and local economic development efforts. He serves on the Boards of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance, the Northeast Indiana Corporate Council and the Downtown Improvement District. He also serves on the boards of Tower Bank and Indiana Tech.
Scott has a BA in History from Indiana University at Fort Wayne. He lives in Roanoke with his wife, Melissa. They have three daughters. His interests include history, technology, education and economic development in Fort Wayne and Northeast Indiana. In 2007 Scott and Melissa opened J.K. O'Donnell's Irish Pub in downtown Fort Wayne.
