Catapult Indiana is a paid training program for Hoosiers looking for a stable, high-paying career with opportunities to grow and advance in a dynamic industry. Nearly one in five Hoosiers is involved in making and moving things that save, change, and improve the lives of millions of Americans. We manufacture things like life-saving drugs and medical equipment, recreational vehicles, trucks, cars, aircraft engines, and more. 

These jobs aren’t the manufacturing jobs you might think of—they’re increasingly automated and digital. In this 160-hour, paid training program, you’ll learn hands-on applications of functional skills,the basics of lean manufacturing, team building, and critical thinking—skills that can help you not only get the first job but succeed and advance. No degree is necessary for the Catapult program, and new high school graduates as well as those looking to change careers are welcome to apply. Classes are taught on Ivy Tech’s conveniently located campus, right off the Red Line. Ninety percent of graduates get at least one job offer, and many get more. All it takes is just four weeks to change your career trajectory with the Catapult program.

This program is geared toward unemployed and underemployed adults as well as high school students. This program is grant-funded, so it’s limited to Marion County residents, but the program is a paid opportunity. You can earn $14/hr for attending, and bonuses are available upon program completion.

This program offers a path to more than a job—it trains graduates for a career. 90% of graduates receive at least one entry-level, full-time manufacturing position with benefits, and most receive more than one offer. These jobs have an average starting wage of $16/hour usually with benefits, and offer lots of opportunity for advancement. The average salary for experienced employees in this field is $79,000, so there’s lots of room for growth throughout your career.

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required for the Catapult program.

The Catapult program is a 160-hour program that runs for four consecutive weeks of eight-hour days. A stipend is paid to participants and a bonus is available upon completion of the program.

Training is conveniently located on Ivy Tech’s campus, just off the Red Line at Meridian and Fall Creek Parkway.
