Conexus Indiana, a statewide organization dedicated to strengthening Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industries, has expanded its workforce development efforts with the hiring of Guillermo Guillen as Manager of Adult Programs and Nikki Jagow as Manager of Talent Programs.

“Ensuring that Indiana’s largest industry sectors, advanced manufacturing and logistics, continue to be national leaders requires a workforce that is trained and prepared for a dynamic workplace,” said Brad Rhorer, chief talent programs officer for Conexus Indiana. “Conexus Indiana is dedicated to providing the level of workforce-development expertise that Guillermo and Nikki offer to help employers and workers grow for the future.”

Guillen comes to Conexus Indiana from Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA), where he worked in the manufacturing and orientation training department. A 28-year veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps – where he worked in supervisory and training roles, safety programs, quality assurance and more – Guillen also gained experience with DynCorp International and L3 Vertex in Nevada. In his new role with Conexus Indiana, Guillen will help Conexus expand Catapult Indiana, which gives adults and graduating seniors the skills to succeed – and advance – in advanced manufacturing careers.

Jagow joins Conexus Indiana after six years with the J. Everett Light Career Center, where, most recently, she served as Work-Based Learning Coordinator, facilitating internships, apprenticeships and career-exposure opportunities for students. Previously, she focused on student growth and achievement as a Parent and Community Coordinator for Indianapolis Public Schools.  In her new role, Jagow will help develop modern apprenticeship programs for Hoosier high school students.

Conexus Indiana offers a range of workforce development programming to prepare workers to enter and succeed in the high-demand, high-wage advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. Whether it’s by exposing students to paid work experiences through the Conexus Interns program and the development of apprenticeship program, providing skills training through Catapult Indiana, or providing support through other programs, Conexus Indiana helps advanced manufacturing and logistics firms access talent and helps workers of all ages and experience levels build pathways to meaningful careers.
