The series gives Indiana-based AML companies direct access to credible resources that offer a competitive advantage prior to their widespread adoption and exposes manufacturers and logistics companies to what technologies exist, and what innovations are on the horizon.

INDUSTRY X.0 DEVELOPMENT AND MANUFACTURING STUDIO / POW PLATFORM

Executive Director Jason Pennington provided an overview of Indiana IoT Lab, a virtual tour, and an introduction to the lab’s Industry x.0 activities. The second half of the program featured IoT Lab member, Founder and CEO of WPR Services, Chris Harris. Chris provided an introduction and overview of his start-up IIoT company WPR Services and featured technology demonstrations from WPR’s POW™ platform offering of vision, voice, connectivity, and augmented reality manufacturing tools.

CONNECTED WORKPLACE HEALTH ANALYTICS

The Data Analytics and IoT Solutions division of LHP walked through a platform that provides rapid identification and control of virus, limiting community spread within a business. It identifies where sick individuals have been, and who they have been in close contact with. It provides immediate data traceability by allowing the business to see who was in what area of the site at a given time in history. Aligned with Conexus’ Workplace Safety Peer Group and development of Return to Work Guidelines.

BLOCKCHAIN-SECURED DOCUMENTS FOR GLOBAL TRADE

Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate presented “Blockchain 101” with an emphasis on government applications. Transmute explained how their platform technology works in global trade with a specific example of steel import documentation for every step in the supply chain from a foreign mill through importation and end use. US Customs and Border Protection offered an overview of their Silicon Valley Innovation Program, which is the mechanism for how Transmute is being funded for the blockchain development.

Microsoft’s Global Manufacturing team provided a keynote on Microsoft’s vision for digital transformation in manufacturing environments. Mariner described how machine vision systems, machine learning algorithms and IoT infrastructure can be leveraged to achieve artificial intelligence quality inspections systems for manufacturing processes.
