ANDRE B. LACY
VANGUARD AWARD

ABOUT THE AWARD

The Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award is presented annually to a standout advocate and champion for Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industries.

A philanthropist and business leader, Andre B. Lacy left a large footprint on Indiana. A third-generation leader of his family business, Lacy expanded Lacy Diversified Industries Ltd. (LDI) from a small manufacturing operation to a company with global interests in manufacturing, distribution, and logistics. Known in the community for his adventurous spirit and make-it-happen mentality, Lacy is the namesake of Butler University’s School of Business. In addition to his civic leadership and service on numerous corporate and community boards, Lacy was an early champion of Conexus Indiana. He passed away in November 2017.

To commemorate Lacy’s legacy and celebrate the advanced manufacturing and logistics industries in Indiana, Conexus Indiana launched the Andre B. Lacy Vanguard Award in 2018.
