A Look Back on 2025 for Conexus Indiana AIC Advanced Industries Council

In 2025, our team held a wide range of events for our 120+ Conexus Indiana Advanced Industries Council parters, ranging from in-person large council meetings, all the way to small virtual sessions on federal policy decisions shaping the Indiana advanced manufacturing and logistics ecosystem. Our partnerships allow us to collaborate with industry to shape our work to further digital adoption efforts, helping advanced manufacturing and logistics employees improve their skills and technical knowledge and more.

Here is a look back at some of the highlights of our council events in 2025:

Four Quarterly Council Meetings

We convened our council partners at some incredible locations this year—SMC in Noblesville, Boston Scientific in Spencer, Arcamed/Made @ Plainfield and Beck’s Hybrids in Atlanta—bringing together 100+ industry leaders each time to tackle shared challenges and opportunities. Throughout the year, we explored critical topics including digital adoption strategies, AI applications, infrastructure investments and workforce development.

Defense & Automotive
Familiarization Tours

Our Defense Familiarization Tour, hosted in partnership with Allison Transmission and Rolls-Royce, gave members behind-the-scenes access to Indiana’s defense manufacturing capabilities and provided early insights from Conexus’ work with the U.S. Department of Defense showcasing defense-specific manufacturing opportunities across Indiana. Our recent Automotive Tour showcased NHK and Subaru of Indiana automotive, highlighting the partnership between OEM and supplier. Additionally, we heard from the Center for Automotive Research on the state of Indiana’s automotive industry and the growing presence of EV manufacturing.

Digital Adoption & Workforce Development Workshops

Throughout the year, we facilitated deep conversations on both digital transformation and workforce challenges. Partners engaged in peer-to-peer learning on topics like AI use cases, data maturity, automation strategies, hiring needs, upskilling and leadership development has been invaluable—and continues to be the aspect members tell us they value most. The insights shared in these sessions directly inform statewide priorities and help us create resources that meet real industry needs.

Business Connections & Collaboration

We’ve had the privilege of facilitating meaningful connections between Council partners, helping members connect with each other to further their businesses and identify new supplier relationships. These partnerships strengthen both individual companies and Indiana’s AML supply chain.

Impactful Public Policy Engagement

In collaboration with Taft, we hosted six public policy sessions with elected officials, including Congressman Rudy Yakym and experts from Taft’s D.C. office. We discussed how best to navigate evolving issues like tariffs and federal government-funded programming and heard directly from Congressman Jefferson Shreve on the development of the federal infrastructure funding bill and its impact on how we invest in our roads and bridges.

Statewide Industry Connections

Our Conexus team had the privilege of visiting nearly 100 AML companies across the state this year—deepening relationships, understanding challenges and bringing those insights back to the Council.

Regional Dinners

We’ve begun travelling around the state, getting partners and prospect companies together over dinner to better understand your business and what you are most focused on. With two dinners under our belt, we look forward to more in the year ahead and hope to host you when we visit your community.
