Investments in Industry 4.0 technology are one way AML companies are innovating for the future. But innovation requires access to resources. That’s why we partner with the Indiana Economic Development Corporation to support tech-enabled investment in smart manufacturing all across the state. We’re proud to report that we have supported nearly 100 companies with Manufacturing Readiness Grants already this year.

Our Advanced Industries Council enables partners to network with other industry leaders to share best practices and help guide Conexus Indiana’s strategic work. We are actively growing and diversifying our council to best represent, and serve, the industry and are proud to have added many new partners to the roster already this year.

To help inspire the next generation of advanced manufacturing and logistics professionals, Conexus partners with the Office of Career and Technical Education to provide grants for Indiana secondary schools to purchase hardware and software that create foundational exposure to today’s smart manufacturing technology. This year, five schools received funds.

Our team visits advanced manufacturing and logistics facilities all around the state – whether it is to meet with council partners, answer questions or to learn more about their organization and communities. If you’re one of the many companies we’ve visited already this year, thank you! When you open your doors, you help us better understand the strengths of the industry, the uniqueness of our state’s individual communities and the barriers that stand in the way of continued growth.

Conexus Indiana hosts its own 30-under-30 program. We’re proud to have so many AML companies participate. If you’re one of the many companies who nominated a young professional, attended May’s event or supported the Rising 30 program in some way, thank you for nurturing up-and-coming talent in one of Indiana’s most critical sectors.

Experience is the greatest teacher. That’s why, earlier this year, we officially launched Conexus Student Industries – a statewide program in support of in-school entrepreneurial businesses which mimic the work of Indiana’s advanced manufacturing and logistics industries. Our work is centered around a dynamic group of Indiana School-based Enterprises that we are proud to support.

Our partners work hard to ensure unemployed, underemployed and second-chance Hoosiers have the opportunity to build a great career in advanced manufacturing – and many of those individuals are introduced to AML through our Catapult Indiana program. Thanks to a new partnership with Carey Services we now serve a new population of Hoosiers in their pursuit of meaningful work.

Our manufacturing and logistics professionals make Indiana move. If you’re a part of the industry, you know that first-hand. But often, kids and young adults aren’t exposed to the exciting opportunities offered by AML careers. Since January 2023 we have reached countless Gen Z Hoosiers through our Make IN Move initiative, which inspires young people to consider a career in AML.

Industry 4.0 can be a complicated subject covering everything from robotics, additive manufacturing and much more. Our team works hard to make sure AML companies get all the information they need at events like our Emerging Tech Showcases and Peer-to-Peer Forums. In the past six months, we’ve covered everything from warehouse automation to remote workforce connectivity and engaged a large mix of AML companies along the way.
