ESN was founded on the principle of cross-industry collaboration, understanding the answers to our global energy challenges does not – and cannot – reside within one company or institution. It takes a collective approach, across typical industry boundaries, to develop realistic solutions. By drawing on a rich diversity of established and emerging companies and institutions globally, ESN leverages each organization’s strengths to collectively make up a world-class energy technology cluster with expertise that spans the “energy ecosystem.” This ecosystem includes transportation, generation, transmission and built environment – four areas which ESN strives to address with its projects. Each project ESN organizes is a systems-level project that touches multiple aspects of this ecosystem.
